Do sweatshops actually exist in china? I know about the stereotypes of Chinese children making the stuff all Americans own but is it actually real or just more American propaganda?

I find this funny because (even though they are fake) they are acting like this wasn't just the norm in these times, that only those darn commies were killing gays and the west treated them perfectly fine and were completely accepting.
