HAHAHA . Thank you .

Hi everyone,

I'm searching for an app that lets me stream what my iPhone 12 Pro's camera is capturing directly to my MacBook Pro. The setup involves mounting the iPhone on a tripod to film downward from an elevated position. I need to monitor what's being recorded live on my MacBook for better control over the shot angles and composition.

Any suggestions for an app would be really helpful.

Many thanks.

Hello everyone!

I've had a strange networking problem that I cant explain. Here's the situation:

I have a Mac and a Windows PC connected directly to each other using an Ethernet cable.

The Mac is manually set with the IP 10.0.1.1and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.

The Windows machine is set to 10.0.0.1with the same subnet mask.

By all standard networking rules, they shouldn't communicate since they're configured to be on different subnets. Yet, they are still able to send data to each other.

To add to the context, both machines are also connected to the internet via Wi-Fi through my home router. But for the file transfer over Ethernet, they're just directly connected—no routers or switches involved.

Here's what I've already considered and checked:

  • No additional routes are set up that would explain the cross-subnet communication.
  • No link-local addresses (APIPA) are being used for the Ethernet interfaces.
  • The Wi-Fi network is on a completely different IP range.

Any Idea what may me be causing this ?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello people,

Is there a way to set the device to permanently delete photos right away without sending them to the 'Recently Deleted' folder? I'm looking for a solution that bypasses this folder, so I don't have to manually empty it later.

I create long and space consuming videos rhen I share them through airdrop . And once shared I want to immediately delete them to allow space for future videos . The problem they are not fully deleted unless I go manually delete them from the delete folder .. Yes, It can be done but when you have to manually do this many times It becomes time consuming .. Thats why I look for a way to completely wipe up videos as soon as hit the delete button

Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a way to use my MacBook with its lid closed, without having it plugged into an AC power source. I know that normally, using a MacBook in clamshell mode requires it to be connected to power, along with an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard. However, I'm looking for a solution that allows me to use the MacBook in closed-lid mode without being near a power outlet.

Currently, I've been using a workaround where I place a small rectangle to prop the screen open just enough so it looks closed, but I just want to know if there's a more official/normal way to do this. Is it possible to have the MacBook screen closed and still use an external monitor, without the MacBook going into sleep mode, all while not connected to an AC adapter?

Thank you!
