These are the movies that I have seen already:

Zombi

The Gates of Hell aka City of the Living Dead

Don’t Torture A Duckling

Demonia

The Beyond aka 7 Doors of Death

Do you recommend any other movies?

SPOILERS AHEAD

I saw your post, and remembered that I wanted to see this. So I decided to go watch and then come back.

Was this movie a blockbuster? No. Did l enjoy it? Yes. I enjoyed the creepiness and how each segment explained the wtfness of who, why or what we just saw. Definitely kept me watching.

Like you, l went in blind (l didn’t read your post when l saw it). I didn’t know it had to do with witchcraft, but enjoyed that it did.

I figured out what was going on with the children before the reveal. And like you, l agree about the set up with the Aunt a little hard to buy into. Come on, no one in the family knew nothing about the Aunt?

Anyway, it wasn’t a bad movie, it was something different. We need more different. Worth a watch. Especially for Julia Garner! I think she’s a gem. I first seen her on Netflix’s Ozark (the series with Jason Bateman). If you haven’t seen that, l highly recommend it. Was good to see Justin Long and Josh Brolin too!

I once read that in the 1930’s, one of the animators for Warner Bros. was working on a prototype rabbit character. The animator was named Ben (nicknamed “Bugs”) Hardaway.

A model sheet for the character was labeled “Bugs’ Bunny”—as in, the bunny belonging to Bugs (Hardaway). The name stuck to the character we know as Bugs Bunny today. The name wasn’t given purposely, but by association.
