Appreciate the update post! Wish I knew if there was like a FotMob for Hockey. They’re constantly playing games and never remember to be on the look out for it. The KHL would be fun to watch.

Well that’s extra upsetting. I assumed there’s no way the Israeli league would be playing.

Thinking about it, is the Israeli league even actively playing matches at the moment? I’m a little surprised they have teams this far into European competitions, especially Europa league.

Either way I agree, it’s ridiculously hypocritical for FIFA and UEFA to ban Russia and turn a blind eye to Ukrainian and Israeli teams.

Well this is much better summary than the headline on the locked post in r/Soccer. Was not going to bother wading into the post or comments.

Glad they got their asses kicked. Also very glad the team on the field got beat 5-0 as an extra cherry on top.

Voted for PSL and for the house and senate the greens. Also there was Socialist Workers Party folks on the Ballot. Did some googling about them yesterday and talk about incoherent. Pro Israel, and then Pro Cuba

Yeah as you mentioned earlier I’m afraid this is going to move rapidly up the escalation ladder.

It’s why I was curious what Iran could potentially do to mitigate its AA installations being destroyed. Even if it’s not as good as the Russian or Chinese AA setup, some deterrence is better than nothing when the western doctrine is all about air superiority.

Interesting, thanks for the write up. Does sound like Iran will be stuck in a bind then. Damned if you do damned if you don’t. Hopefully Iran has a better plan this time for this scenario would not be good if their AA gets taken out.

The fact that 40 of these missiles have been deployed is very concerning and could indicate Israeli intentions to carry out a wider scale Suppression/Destruction of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD/DEAD) operation. This is a capability that Israel has already demonstrated against Iran, that Iran failed to stop last time round.

Appreciate the lengthy write up. I do wonder what the solution to massed SEAD would look like for Iran. Do they just turn their radar off and try and time it so the SEAD missile looses its lock? I really have no idea what other countermeasures there would be.

Lokomotiv celebrates home wins with a locomotive's steam whistle!

Love this so much. I know the NHL teams all have unique goal sirens and stuff, this is way cooler

Yeah it sounds like Acosta left Cuba for Chile because Lopez was in his weight class. He's been competing for Chile since 2017 but looks like this is his first Olympics. Glad he got beat.

Loved watching him win. The announcers mentioned his opponent for the finals, Yasmani Acosta Fernandez was apparently his Cuban teammate and then defected to Chile.

Even my dad who's a big wrestling fan, but a chud had to begrudgingly admit Lopez is the GOAT.

Watched it earlier today, and loved every second of it. Especially after learning he beat his former teammate, who was a defector.
