There's no shortage of things to make up, it's their biggest strength.
Reddit would go after apps having Reddit in the name.
Anyone saying that is definitely wrong, it is neither more secure or less secure just on the basis that it is closed or open source. There are processes that all types of software must take to ensure there are limited vulnerabilities. Security audits, pen testing, code scanning, etc.
Glad to know I'm not the only one checking this community every day waiting for sync!
It's a shame to live with so much misguided hate in your heart, I hope you find the help you desperately need
What the hell is going on over there
Spez's goal to turn Reddit into Twitter seems to be working, at least
Honestly it is really smart how they went about this. From what I've read, they only started development on Threads at the start of this year. They acted very fast to create Threads. Then after the rate limiting bullshit this past week, they saw the perfect opportunity to release Threads early to capitalize on the current issues with Twitter. I work in tech and I am really impressed with what they've done so far from that perspective.
It isn't that everything they've done is necessarily difficult; they just got it right it seems, which these days seems to be rare from tech companies (including Meta and their Metaverse).
How does reddit tell the difference? Is it just nsfw communities not in the api or all nsfw posts? There is no discrepancy at least in the UI between NSFW gore and NSFW tits.
Also on kubernetes, hopefully this message works. First time testing from my self-hosted instance.
