Well they are still giving iOS 15 security updates to the iPhone 6S, which was released in 2015. And iOS 15 was released in 2021. So, the iPhone 6S got major iOS updates for 6 years and is still getting security updates now 8 years later.

So, based on that, looks like iPhone 11 Pro still has a long ways to go!

I use it when I’m typing with one hand. But when I have both hands, I don’t use it.

I got my 11 Pro Max in July 2020. Same as my wife’s 11 Pro. They both are still working like champs! We considered upgrading this year, but to be honest, we decided to save the money. Also, it is my favorite 3 camera designed phone, with the curved edges and slightly smaller size (compared to 12 Pro and on). And the cameras are still stellar, and without the extreme post-processing that can happen on the newer phones.

Obviously, the only issue at this point is the battery. We decided that since we are going to hold on to our phones as long as absolutely possible, we went ahead and replaced my wife’s 11 Pro battery at 79% health a little over a week ago and the phone is actually working better now. My 11 Pro Max is at 78% health but the battery was already an amazing battery and so it really is still working well. However, I’ll be replacing the battery soon.

They both should last us a long while still.

I enjoy most of Apple’s native apps. The only thing for me is that Apple Maps, although great for navigation, isn’t great for search. So, I use Google Maps for search and then Apple Maps for navigation.
