I can't believe it took them this long lol. There's like millions of whatever latest Samsung Galaxy phone, running that compilation locally millions of times is just a waste of global compute power and everyone's time, run it once in the cloud and cache it.

I meant something owned/maintained by Valve, it's a name people can trust and would catch a lot of angry Win10 users switching

personally I don't need any specific distro, but it would be a big boost for Valve

What’s missing from Lemmy that would make it unattractive to the average user?

I don't think it's always easy to pinpoint UX issues and user friction. Sometimes these things just don't stick with mainstream users. I say it's worth a try to see which platform the average Reddit user will prefer.

But if you're gonna use from a phone, Lemmy's selection of mobile apps is unbeatable.

I think people who want to signup for something will not ask this many questions, they will just jump in. These are often just excuses to stay complacent on Reddit.

Edit: they signed up! They were just being analytical I guess.

We just released Deus Ex Randomizer v3.4.1, including recent big updates for the Zero Rando modes (no randomization modes). One of the biggest updates is putting all of our balance changes behind toggles - off by default in Zero Rando mode, but enabled in Zero Rando Plus by default.

  • Vanilla Fixer: No gameplay changes, just compatibility fixes. Our installer ensures a smooth, battle-tested setup for modern systems with just a few clicks, inherited from Deus Ex Randomizer. Automatically installs Kentie's Launcher, D3D10 and other renderers, DXVK, Engine.dll fix for high framerates, and config tweaks.
  • Zero Rando: The pure Deus Ex experience - with no randomization, just essential bug fixes and optional QoL improvements from DXRando.
  • Zero Rando Plus: Same as Zero Rando, but with balance changes enabled (which you can still customize in the Rando ➜ Gameplay menu).

This is a fresh update, so if you spot anything that shouldn’t be enabled in Zero Rando, let us know! We're still constantly updating all of these game modes and the Randomizer.
