In most countries, sharing your phone number is equivalent of sharing you full home address. It would be great to see how people would react if instead of providing their number for an account registration, they were asked to give their home address.

Fully agree with Discord argument.

Regarding Codeberg instead of GitHub, I disagree. Codeberg's aggressive anti-bot protection system frequently locks out many IP ranges from the country I live (Brazil). It's extreme policy on forks and private repositories also limits the functionality of the platform.

If you only have login names and passwords you can export to JSON and then import to KDBX using KeePass (works best) or KeePassXC.

If you have attachments (key files, certificates, etc...) then you will learn Bitwarden is not that open as it advertises. You will need specific scripts to move your data...

It uses an SQLite database for the notes. Are binary files like pictures and videos stored in this DB as well? I am curious to see how it performs compared to other note taking apps that keep binary files out of the database.
