In practice, I'm a common social democrat.

At heart, I'm an Anarchist. I don't have enough knowledge and confidence to believe it would work but I believe it would be beneficial for us to try to make it work, even if it ends up failing

Shit's still going down, the situation is not yet resolved with reddit

It's understandable to want content and an active community, but that's exactly what many people are cheering: the more Reddit crumbles, the more people will leave and create/share content elsewhere (like here)

 

I've always been a lurker, but now seeing lemmy's growth, I figured I would like to contribute somehow.

Would becoming a mod be a good way to do it? How? What does it take to be a good mod?

Yeah, I think each time reddit takes action against moderators, it gives people more reason to seek other alternatives
