I’ve fully switched to ecosia. I much prefer their efforts, and they seem to fund decent projects unlike a lot of other carbon offset companies.

Ah, it would make a good subject for a Timelapse recording!

Germinated these from seed, this is the first leaf to emerge. They’re generally slow but fun to watch!

Oh dear! Although I’m starting to feel the same way after they nibbled some of my precious seedling roots

I was thinking about doing this and then I see this post. Good timing. It definitely beats having those unsightly yellow traps in half the pots…

I think part of the problem for me was also growing them inside when they’re really an outside species. I should probably try some of the South African species! Butterworts are very cool too!

Had a couple of these spontaneously grow in some sphagnum moss I was growing. Was pretty cool to observe. Every time I’ve tried to actually grow sundews it’s gone badly lol.

This is awful. I’m so sorry.

Germinated these Retrophyllum around October…looking forward to seeing their growth through spring. They’re tropical conifers from South America but should grow okay in my mild climate, at least till winter.

Fascinating! I’ve always found smooth hound sharks really interesting.
