If you're brave and want a bit of a challenge, you can do it yourself and save that money. Granted, I work in IT, but wired my previous house after the drywall was up and new house we built years later before they put the drywall in place.

If your domicile is a single story and has sufficient attic or crawl space, you could do this with a bit of planning and getting the tools and materials.
