Actually the WiFi is less important to me than just having reliable lan routing. For WiFi I'll usually be using an AP in a different location anyways.

I bought a tplink router a week or so ago and the router is terrible. Really locked down settings and the LAN ports cannot auto negotiate the speed properly, sometimes its 1000 but usually it locks itself to 100mbps and there's no setting to change from auto negotiation.. my devices and cabling is fine, ive never had this problem until installed a tp-link router so I'm trying to avoid them now.

Im looking for a cheap but decent router under $100 which has me looking at the Asus RT-AX57 ($90) and RT-AX1800S ($65). I only have a 700mbps internet connection so im wondering if the more expensive AX57 would even be worth it? Are either of these routers decent for under $100 or would you recommend something else? https://www.asus.com/us/product-compare?ProductID=20870,16864&LevelId=networking-iot-servers-wifi-routers

I just got an Archer A6 router, on the product page it says it has 4 gigabit lan ports but when I go to the routers status page after its booted up it says the wan port is running at 1000 and the lan ports are running at 100. My last router I had around 700mbps internet speed wired so I know the cabling is fine. Is there a setting or another reason why my router is capping the ports at 100mbps? I cant find anything in the settings capping this. The model I have is TP-link ac1200 (Archer A6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KJF5BS7

I have to purchase a new ONT Fiber media converter and am not sure which ones will work for me as this is my first time dealing with fiber. I currently have a ADTRAN GPON 1287787f1 which uses a single yellow/green fiber and has only one port for fiber. Looking on amazon everything I am seeing has two ports for fiber being TX and RX so I'm thinking I am either looking at the wrong media converters or am not sure what will work for me. Can anyone point me in the right direction on if a two port converter would work or what I should be looking for in order to find a single port converter? Thanks for the help!
