Ah, but have you considered that open-source is the real evil?

It really tells how fragmented and unstable a liberal understanding of the world is. They cannot grasp that they are constantly lied to. Instead of re-examining their given knowledge, the conclusion is impossible.

I got to do one of these things at GenCon. Our scenario was Putin suddenly dies of cancer. The guys running it got mad that the Communists took over. They were the only ones promising to expand military funding so we did a coup and nobody could stop us.

The USSR had serious flaws (it collapsed after all), but it made real and significant advancements over what came before, and what came after was a dramatic decline.

To contrast the US was built on slavery and still hasn't fully outlawed the practice. Turning the states into Soviet republics doesn't even make sense. If you're doing something like that, might as well redo the borders, and make sure native nations and minority groups get equitable representation.

Anyways we have an infographic that can give you a more detailed explanation of how the USSR actually functioned here: https://hexbear.net/PPB

Grigs, pixies, and sprites have all appeared in Forgotten Realms. Grigs didn't make it to 5th edition D&D. There's probably some more obscure buglike fey I can't remember.

When I talk with socdems I like to talk about Denmark and the coffee trade. Denmark makes more money from Ethiopian coffee than Ethiopia does. The market is built to keep the beans cheap until they are roasted, so farmers are paid scraps. Eventually capitalists realized it was more efficient to do roasting in Ethiopia, so they started building facilities in Ethiopia. Every industrial roaster in Ethiopia is Danish-owned.
