Depends on the time of the year,

During the summer I’d have one before and after work, during winter once a day or once every two days

Because in some places renting is so much cheaper than buying it’s comical. Go look into rent vs prices of property and mortgages in London in the UK for example and then we can talk.

The 200-300 range has been dead really since the 5600xt and the crypto boom.

Second hand at the 400 mark they’re insane with the 6800XT

I have never understand exactly what it is that people need/desire/require out of Firefox that they find missing but which a Chrome based browser is providing them.

The ability to log into any computer on chrome and load my profile, which gives access to my bookmarks and passwords.

As someone who has 4 chrome profiles due to work remote managing 3 of them that I use daily, Firefox will never be able to handle that.

if Firefox had some sort of cloud sync that wasn't oh hey you need to have multiple devices to make it work and just gave you a way to do it through the browser properly with even a paid option that would help.

Well there’s the fact that it’s somewhat true as for example if you use a chromium based browser on Linux hardware acceleration isn’t enabled by default and borderline doesn’t work a lot of the time.

Doesn’t sound so bad till you realise what it does to battery life on a laptop.

I love Linux and we are so close but it’s small things like that, which prevent me getting friends and family to use it consistently.

I don’t think I would want to live in a world without cheese.

Hey at least the top gun sequel was actually good. I don't think Sequels should be branded as crap movies by default, Sure F&F X and so forth are garbage but there are some genuinely good sequels too.

What would you describe as large?

The company I work for is a multinational at this point and exclusively uses Google for Mail/Docs. We have I think 600 stores now across 12 countries.

I’m already locked in, I have to use google products daily for work as my work email and drive is all done through google. There’s no moving off that unless I leave my job and even then there’s no guarantee.

Fuck man, this blows.

It's the quality of service that they offer, I don't mind paying £60-70 a month for all my tv/movies but when the services don't even work well, have terrible experiences and constant caveats to using them it's just not worth it. Go spend the money on a self-hosted solution for a better experience and be done with it. It's not exactly cheaper either it's just less of a headache.

Yeah that's a good way to put it, when I picked up my Air recently I was extremely frustrated by how it didn't quite do things quite like Gnome 40x and how it missed some of the Windows things like Window Snapping but once you get used to the gestures it's not so bad.

Also yeah virtual desktops are a god send on Gnome/MacOS it's frustrating to not have them on Windows.

undefined> If you’re trying to get it to act like Windows or your favorite Linux window manager, you’ll find it frustrating. However, if you absolutely insist then you should just install a third-party window snapping tool.

I mean there are things in Gnome that I prefer but what I found useful was to start using the workspaces / virtual desktops more and using the three finger swipe up a lot on my Air. That helped when using multiple profiles on chrome a lot because using cmd + ` was just not it for me.

Auto snapping would be great but at least you can tile windows to left / right so that's something and you can add keybinds for it
