I remember going to see TLJ at Leicester Square on opening night me and my brother and sister all paid silly money relative to other cinemas and I just came out of it going I don’t know if I even like this while my brother was raving about how it was the best thing he’s seen in years lol

I think he got caught up in the moment.

Honestly it’s also like when I saw Star Trek 09 with a friend at the BFI imax and I came out of it with him having had the time of his life and the only positive thing I could say was “ I liked the music “

I wouldn’t consider a 8700k or a 2080 super high level specs or even mid level right now.

Consider that an 8700k is slower than a 13400f today which is considered the absolute lower end of the mid range, realistically 13600k or 13700 is the mid range on the intel side.

To be blunt the 8700k is 5 years old.

The 2080s is well look at this chart and you make a decision

I think a lot of people are just not appreciative of how out of date their hardware is relative to consoles atm

You know that’s not a Manjaro problem that’s a user problem, you’re specifically warned that AUR compatibility is not guaranteed with Manjaro https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository

But people often ignore this and then complain that Manjaro isn’t stable.

And yes Manjaro is fully rolling just because they delay packages a week doesn’t stop it being rolling, that’s like calling tumbleweed not a rolling release?

I’m not arguing that Manjaro is better or worse than Arch just that if you use it as intended it functions correctly and is a good way to learn Linux and Arch.

Honestly, they're horrible I can't believe people still buy them when wanting an Android experience. They come with so much bloat now and it just feels jank constantly.

I'd never recommend them to anyone but then again, Google Pixel devices aren't much better due to how unstable they are and you're essentially beta testing the phones as you go. Big part of the issue with Android phones these days.

Honestly, the only one I still catch from time to time is Sean on Trek culture because all the other ones got absurdly hostile the last few years when it came to Discovery & Picard and it ended up with people quoting some truly insane alt right sources like midnights edge.

I find it better to just enjoy the shows and discuss on reddit(now lemmy) than watch these influencers.

I've been considering Mimestream a lot lately, especially for how it works with focuses but I really need an iOS app as well.
