They do not work as well no, take for example if I buy an android phone + a Samsung watch + Sony headphones and run them together you know what happened last time. The Samsung watch broke the Sony headphones touch controls because of the apps not integrating properly.

That’s the kind of it just works apple phones don’t deal with, I work with phones daily and the amount of people I see return android phones compared to iPhones is not even funny

Try to as a normal non technical user get a random £200-300 android phone repaired that isn’t Samsung and then try to get an iPhone repaired and see the cost difference

This does not keep my bookmarks and passwords synced across all the work devices I have to use does it?

I regularly log into 2 work email accounts and have a third that I check monthly. I do this across 5 work devices which are shared, my personal MacBook Air which is used primarily for work and my phone.

If Firefox has sync features that work with cloud storage as opposed to device storage it would be practical otherwise it’s no go

My Reddit account was 2013 so just about 10 years this month when I left.

I mean it's not that complicated, while people may recognise it was a mistake to vote to Leave there's no way in hell they'll ever admit publically it was a mistake and support the movement to rejoin the EU.

Maybe if the Tory party remains gutted as a non-threat for a couple of elections, we can test the waters with the idea. However, the moment any party even suggests it, the Tories will throw up a party of Brexit stuff and knock them out of any election.

Some of us have very good reasons for pirating, I was paying for every service under the sun in the UK last year and I dropped them all simply because the moment I went on holiday practically none of them worked. At that point, I realised that they just weren't worth it and I could build something out and self-host a far better service.

So I spent something like 2 grand doing that knowing at least I'll never have that issue again, Piracy is always a service issue first and foremost and most of these services are crap. Netflix still at least has a reasonable interface and a good experience across every device but Prime video is atrocious, P+ is likewise terrible and don't ever get me started on NowTV.

Look into an SE version 2, those aren't half bad either if you're trying to save a bit of money.

I mean that may or may not be the case, I can't speak for all of them but it's definitely a challenge to build a new community from scratch and it's a lot of work.

It's not for everyone and 99% of people who say they can or could do it are full of shit.

Yeah I’ve noticed my library has changed quite a bit and my storage needs are going to have to increase thanks to friends and family but is what it is.

I’ll look into overseer but seems like a lot more work than doplarr to setup

For my less tech savvy friends/family I just have a bot in Discord that can do requests to sonarr/radarr https://github.com/kiranshila/Doplarr

Other options can be using something like tailscale and giving them the web access to sonarr/radarr
