This is honestly the part I'm a little wary about.

We live together, and like any people who live together and any relationship, there's tension from time to time. Will a morning argument about the dishes not being put away spill over to work?

And conversely, there are tensions in any workplace, and things go wrong at work. Will work tensions spill over into our home life?

Okay, Aussie Zone brains trust, I've got an interesting dilemma for you.

So a bit of background. My partner works as a sole trader, and does contract work for a number of companies.

One of the companies she works for has had a full time position open up, which involves managing their external contractors.

Being a sold trader works well for her, so she wants to turn it down. She wants to recommend me instead.

It's a good job. It gas decent pay.

Here's the tricky part: Were I to get this role, I would be responsible for managing this company's external contractors, including my partner.

In effect, I would be her "boss" to some extent.

Working with your spouse or partner is always tricky. Let alone being their manager.

Has anyone here worked with someone they're in a relationship with? What were the pros and cos? Did you disclose your relationship?

Should I take up the role? Or us it not worth tgd hassles?

Fantastic news!!! πŸ‘ƒπŸŒ»πŸ˜Š

And hopefully in the next week or so, you should make a full recovery ☺️

Given Mr Peeler kept walking through the living room for a ciggie, in this case it sounds like it wasn't the smoker who got sicker β€” it was everyone else!

Anyways, fantastic news that you're all starting to recover 😊

You think the chat feature is there to help you? Bless your heart!

It's there because a chat app is cheaper for Woolies than an outsourced call centre. If you give up waiting, that's good for them.

It's just another way Colesworths is screwing this country over.

So what about Chinese dumplings then?

My immediate reaction: "Showcase" him how?

Is this just a LinkedIn post? A video? An article on the company website that's linked to on LI? Something else?

Very interesting news at work.

You might remember a few weeks ago, I posted here about an acting "manager" in a department I work with a lot at work.

Well, today the "manager's" boss announced who's going to be permanently filling that role.

And it's an external candidate.

The "manager" is moving to a newly-created role leading the sales team.

The woman who currently leads the sales team is not happy about this. As in, visibly pissed off about basically being demoted so "manager" can have a job.

It's still around, barely: https://wendysmilkbar.com/

There was still one at Eastland last I checked, as well as Parramatta in Sydney.

There were also stores in Chirnside Park, Waverley Gardens, and Cranbourne, but I'm not sure if those ones are still open?

You did all you could. I hope you have few symptoms and a speedy recovery <3

I hope your eldest gets well soon <3

It's not much of a silver lining, but you've just won any argument that happens in the next six months or so.

"Yeah, well you gave the kids covid by walking through the bloody living room every five minutes!"

Is he at least wearing a mask or doing anything to cover his face while he's in the living room?! Or at the very least waiting until everyone has left the room?!
