Isn't Nuland the exact same person who was responsible for Ukraine's coup in 2014?
"Nuland's cookies" used to be a meme in runet for a reason. Interestingly, the people from the west that I've talked with about it (from US, UK and EU) were apparently entirely unfamiliar with her involvement in the 2014 maidan events. It could be just an age thing, but I suspect the US gov didn't want it to be too known to their own public.
I don't think most people in the west are aware of the (entirely obvious) foreign meddling in the events of 2014 in Ukraine, let alone Nuland herself.
