Dude was fired for other reasons. He is citing his religion as to why he can go on his opinion tangents in a science classroom.

No one is disputing sex characteristics are determined for most people by chromosomes, with Intersex being a notable exception. But that has zero bearing on someone medically transitioning. The characteristics you are born with, such as race or sex should not be the sole determination of what sort of life you are allowed to live.

Of course chromosomes apply to trans folk, it's wildly disengenerous to say I even implied otherwise. Gosh, you just want to argue dont you?
