Several states have relaxed child labor laws in response to the cost of labor going up. Business’ were screaming “nobody wants to work (at the price we want to pay)”.
Benjamin, Get The Musket
Chronicling a body of evidence demonstrating that the U.S. government is horrifyingly tyrannical at almost every level, and authoritarianism, cronyism and corruption have poisoned almost every aspect of American life. We show the very real need for Americans to follow through on the Founding Fathers' instructions to overthrow their government and the evil corporations that control it.
If you find a news article or dumb corporate bigot on Twitter that has said or done something so egregious that it made you wonder why Americans don't band together and do something about those motherfuckers, it belongs here.

My guess is it is a charity thing where a boy scout troop or sports team "takes over" a restaurant for a set period of time (usually a day) and they get a large % of the revenue made during that time plus a donation from the franchise. The kids take the orders and the adult volunteers make the food.
I hope there is a benign explanation for this
Seems worse somehow
Why? How is it different from a school concessions stand manned entirely by children? Or a car wash where the kids are washing the cars? I've only ever seen a takeover once in person, for about 4 hours on a Saturday, but that business was known for doing these takeovers.
They get money for their uniforms or a trip or whatever, the business gets a little publicity but honestly it's generally because the franchise owner is investing in the community, and the business usually ALSO donates on top of the "worked" time. Like what's it called... Boosters?
I don't see a problem with it aside from the systemic issues of capitalism but this is nowhere near orphan crushing machine material.
Children shouldn't be used as fundraising tools for things that should be funded for them to begin with
Using that model, explain how boy scouts should afford to camp, and to donate to the SPCA. Both options are CRAZY expensive, and when I was a kid it was the only way we could afford me going camping.
A reverse image search shows this from a few subreddits and imagur, but no idea where it comes from, does anyone know?

What the fuck?
