I worked at a theme park. Holy shit, that turned me off people so fucking fast. And then, because I'm a glutton for punishment, I worked in IT. Ugh. people suck

I am so lucky I was a dunce when it came to people skills when I was first entering the job market. I couldn't get a job at a grocery market. Always in the back running machines. Worked out pretty good actually.

Yeah, nothing’s gonna make you lose your faith in humanity faster than…y’know, actually dealing with humans.

Wow. Are you me?

I worked at a leisure park for maybe 6, 7 years, then moved into IT and have worked in it for 25 years now. I've never met anyone else who's done the same thing.

Seriously -- are you me from a parallel universe?

Reminds me of that one guy who wanted to show off that a window on a skyscraper was made out of unbreakable glass so he threw himself out it, the window popped out of the frame and they both fell to the floor

the window didn’t break but he definitely did

Our Rules:

  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

  3. Must be tumblr related. This one is kind of a given.

  4. Try not to repost anything posted within the past month. Beyond that, go for it. Not everyone is on every site all the time.
