There's nothing scarier than an unnecessary remake, but one alien invasion film actually improved on its iconic predecessor.

1978’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a potent mix of paranoid thriller and supernatural horror that remains chilling nearly half a century later.

Despite featuring Jeff Goldblum and Leonard Nimoy, I think I prefer the original.
