57 year old guy has never seen the clock work? Jesus christ that thing must've been rusted to hell if it hasn't been maintained in 40 years. Hopefully somebody oils it now.

That's a heartwarming story and I feel like this could be the plot for a fairy tale as it describes the life of a wonderful person being dealt a bad hand who then are finally finding their place where they can thrive and be appreciated doing what they love.
