Which part of the intro? It's like 4 minutes long.
As a once-bass-player, I'm a sucker for the solo bass part. But it's pretty minor in the whole scheme.

I frothed over this song so much in high school. Changed the way I approached playing the drums, especially when Portnoy (usually over-the-top as we all know - in a good way!) comes in with a more simple, heavy beat during one of the breakdowns. Gotta be up there with DT's best songs.
This is the song that hooked me on Prog Metal. Was just starting to learn how to play guitar and was OBSESSED. with Van Halen, and then more classic, easy to play stuff like Bob Seger and whatnot.
Then one day, I was riding down the road, and I had one of those portable Satellite Radio things (I think it was XM.) I was scrolling through and saw Dream Theater was playing on one of the stations, and stopped on it, and because we were going down the road and turning and stuff, it was a pain in the ass to keep the antenna pointed to where I could listen.
But I will say it changed everything for me music-wise. It blew my mind at the time that there was people that could play things like that and keep up with all the parts that were coming and going.
Still one of my favorite DT songs today.
