These empty, meaningless nonsense prompts like "make it fun" "think hard" "make it really good" and "be creative" are insane. Even "prompt engineers" aren't this dumb. I honestly thought "make no mistakes" was just a joke but this guy is actually out here doing it.

It's actually insane what a majority of these people prompt for, especially with diffusion models. As if they completely neglect how these models are trained: images paired with text descriptions. Then writing instructions instead 😭

Then I tried telling Claude Opus 5.5 to “Make it a LOT more fun”... and it did.

Like this is just the most asinine thing in my opinion. The pitch for AI is that it can "make whatever you want" and these people don't even have a single original idea in their heads. They settle for slop because slop is what they want, and they've convinced themselves this is how everyone else sees it, too

    "I designed my house."

    "Wow you're an architect?"

"An architect drew up the plans. But I told them I wanted the kitchen in the back on the south wall. And then when I looked at the first draft I told them I wanted the ground floor a LOT more open, and they made it that way. So yeah, I'm pretty much an architect."

This isn’t my best game yet—it’s not as fun to play as Battle Drones—but it represents the kind of game I want more of: weird, fun, uniquely personal—something that wouldn’t have been built in the before-times.

This is about the cosy farming game btw. The 'uniquely personal' is the fact you grow pumpkins and the author grew up in a place that grew pumpkins. Imagine not engaging with the already oversaturated farming sim genre because it's not enough of a facsimile of your childhood. It's all just so anti-art.

Have you seen the amount of pumpkins you can grow in Stardew Valley? You can even grow huge ones randomly. And I'm sure you can mod in bigger farmland or automatic huge pumpkins. Or even make other crops look like pumpkins or something.

This person just wants to feel like they "made" something special that no one else has ever thought of.

Just ruining everything for a quick buck here and there

Imagine: they spent money on tokens and got no money in return. It's not even a quick buck. It's a quick dopamine hit. And the games are trashed as soon as they are played — hardly any runtime, and no replay value.
