Still can’t seem to get image hyperlinks working to display a word instead of embedding the picture.
I think if you leave the ! off the front it just turns into a regular link rather than an embed. Not 100% but maybe give that a go and see? On the web interface there's a link button on the editor, but whether you have that probably depends which app you're using.
You absolute legend! I wondered what the ! Was for. Thought it was some lemmy feature I was too stupid to realise. Turns out I was just regular stupid. At least I know it means to embed the picture now, awesome!

Arran always looks lovely, when the weather permits. It's been 10 years since I first moved here and I'm still sometimes stunned by how beautiful the Ayrshire coast can be (when it's not raining sideways).
