i like to think of boomers as guinea pigs. they will likely die and not get much benefit from all of this new tech. rich millenials / gen x will be the undying boomers. hope youre ready for 1000 years of being cucked by zuck

I like to think that we won't all be dead by 2040 due to accelerating unstable climate catastrophes and crop failure but I think it's wishful thinking

Based. Now pour a trillion into longevity research. I want to live to see humanity become immortal and be able to reshape being to arbitrary extends through various means, such as gene editing.

Neat ! I'm getting tired of getting up every night to drain my sons blood for my rejuvenation treatment. It ruins my sleep and I think he's starting to wonder why moscitoes only shows up when he sleeps, why he sleeps so much and why he's always so pale. I think he needs more water..

Oh good. I'm sure it'll be super affordable too.

Cost won't probably be a true limiting factor but will just be used to rationalise restricted distribution.

Idk. They might be forced to give it to everyone if its truly cheap to do because China will certainly do so, and it would put the US at a massive disavantage of most of their population was aging while China's wasn't and could lead to serious unrest. Healthcare is an issue now, but imagine when the average person in China is immortal. Americans would be so jealous.

I do not think it is certain China would apply it universally, a totalitarian government views its population as an enemy to be controlled. The most likely scenario is that until machines can take over production the general population would be encouraged to reproduce but no longevity treatment given, with it being forbidden to discuss the fact that the ruling elite does not age. The reason the treatment would be denied in the East and the West is that significantly increased lifespan inevitably increases experience which itself increases the likelihood of revolt against subjugation. All governments are in the business of management and not the business of improving the lot of their population, talk of improvement is just one of its methods of control. The only improvement that is permitted is technological advancements in production and surveillance.
