The real question for me is.

We gonna get to see a again Bobbie Draper make run at nearly unstoppable dreadnought with a antimatter bomb?

    [Book Spoilers]

It's great that the series so far ended right before the time jump in the books. It's not a thirty year gap (hopefully), but they'll be able to keep what cast members are able to return without having to explain the aging between seasons (or just ignoring it like Stranger Things).

    So you didn't read that?

More than five years after The Expanse aired its series finale, the acclaimed sci-fi show is officially returning with a huge new release (literally) celebrating its complete television run. Titan Books has announced The Expanse: The Complete Visual History, a massive 320-page hardcover retrospective scheduled to release in the US/UK on August 17, 2027. Written by Mike Avila, the book is being billed as a "comprehensive behind-the-scenes look" at all six seasons of the television series.

That plus the game, rights reverting back… not an official announcement but indications that the license is well alive and someone could very much capitalise on that to add one more season.

Nobody is saying this isn't happening but there's nothing "solid" about this until there's at least an official announcement.

Don't rely on imdb for anything in the future. That article is Screenrant who are even less reliable.

Nothing specific, I just look out for posts from a variety of pages that have in the past been reliable (or at least haven't shown themselves to be unreliable). I also don't need to know everything the second there's a rumour so I can wait until there are more sources confirming before I form an opinion.

That’s not helping… IMDB is a link aggregator what’s your basis for chalking it as unreliable ? Why are you compelled to explain me that you don’t need to know everything the second there’s a rumour? That’s unrelevant to my question. Are you implying something ?

Imdb can be edited by anyone. I've seen so much nonsense on there about who's going to be on what show. So my basis for calling their information about future productions unreliable is my experience over the decades. I wasn't implying anything, I simply meant to explain why I don't have an easy answer for you.

I'm excited for the game, and I'm going to read all the books.

Alcom's rights were always going to expire, and no one had ever hinted that there was going to be a renewal, AFAIK. This is a necessary step, but not a surprising one.

I do wonder if it is something where the off-camera creatives could come back to spin the final three seasons of The Expanse up and then segue into The Captive's War. Not that they're the same setting (we assume), but we at least know there are people who can do a well-liked adaptation of JSAC books.

Most people don't follow the whole legal machinations of how shows are financed and only care about the show.

Personally I don't care what they do. I just hope they have good stories and continue with the hard sci-fi fidelity (aka no pew-pew)

Someone should probably explain what TV is so that everyone is at the same level.

Does this mean we can finally get a 4K UHD Blu-ray release‽
