What's up with the three and a half checkmark badges (whatever they mean)?

Tumblr has user badges. You can earn some of them, others you can buy.

When Twitter's new idiot CEO decided you should just be able to buy the blue checkmarks, Tumblr offered a deal of the lifetime.

When you buy a blue checkmark, you get two! In fact, you can buy them multiple times! And what do the checkmarks do? Absolutely nothing.

Editing artifact, sorry. I removed the background behind the rounded corners at the top and the “Follow” button. Could have gotten a cleaner result with DOM editing, but I was using the app on mobile.

Basically, their username was longer than the containing <div> element and was getting clipped.

This joke only works on print. Beautiful.

Rabbi is a jewish religious leader and the usual continuation to that sequence (priest, minister, rabbi walk into a bar, etc.)

Rabbit, then, is like an autocorrect or typo.

Blood types are most commonly a, ab, b, and by far the most common blood type is type-o, so its a subversion of a normal joke coupled with some cute wordplay.

Blooe type distribution is higly different between regions/ethnic groups. Type-0 is the most common one in USA, but not everywhere.

True, however even global numbers put O ahead of the other major ones, from what I’ve been able to find.

The numbers differ but all sources that discuss global numbers that I could find agreed that O is the most prevelant, at between 32-43% https://biologyinsights.com/what-is-the-most-common-blood-type-and-why-it-matters/

I am very much open to correction on this if you have a citation, though! Its not that easy to actually find that statistic, as most things are broken down by country :)

Okay but I still don't get it. What do blood types have to with rabbis/rabbits? Where's the wordplay?

Rabbit is a typo (misspelling) of Rabbi. Type O is a blood type.

Okay but what's the connection? Where's the joke? Is the joke that it's an anti-joke? Some Norm Macdonald shit?

Really? That's it? Thanks for explaining.

No wonder I was struggling. I thought it was going to be deeper than that...

    This post. This post:

These words should never be repeated.

Why so? Don't you think such words are limiting in nature? Defeatist, dare I say. Repeat it, not.

I do not understand the reference you're making. Are you experiencing an episode of psychosis?

I don't understand what you're trying to say because you speak like you're quoting Shakespeare, and I have ADHD. Knock it off and speak normally. You sound like a god damn fool when you use this kind of prose.

Would greatly prefer this without the tumblr-ass reply

At least it's not a screenshot posted to Snapchat or whatever with spammed emojis. It's still bad and shouldn't have been posted as is but it's less bad than a lot of shit that gets posted like that.
