    Yes and no.

Yes, it's OC. No, it's not mine, mate of mine drew it and sent it to me with the text (I advised her I would steal it).

She has also since sent me an updated version.

    Edit: grammar

Does she have some public-facing social account we should credit when we steal it?

I believe the myth of Sisyphus is 100% an allegory of house work. "This person angered the gods (had children), so he was doomed to push this boulder up the hill (clean their shit) forever (until the kids grow up, which feels like forever)".

    You wouldn't clean without kids?

Cleaning up after a child is not the same as general cleaning.

If you're an adult, you can get away with daily dishes, and ither cleaning once a week, because you're capable of taking food all the way to your mouth without dropping it, and you probably have a vague laundry organization system, and some of the time, you out stuff back where you foundil it when you're done using it.

Kids cannot do any of that shit, so your house accumulates one week worth of responsible adult mess in about 11 minutes.

so your house accumulates one week worth of responsible adult mess in about 11 minutes.

What remarkably tidy and generous children you have.

Mine manage it in around -5 minutes; now I know this statement makes seems to no sense. But when one considers the reality of the situation; the logic is solid....when I'm around 5 minutes from finishing cleaning, the mess has already accumulated in some other portion of the house.

I still clean, but most of the time it's just a spot clean every few weeks or so. Unlike parents, which need to do a deep clean every week

Parents are just underutilizing the free labor from the little slaves they've bred :)

Using the kids doubles the labor and triples the time the task requires. It's only valuable in the sense that you're teaching the kids to eventually be competent adults. Which is admittedly a lot of value but it's exhausting.

I’d put it at 2 weeks to a month for a deep clean, just gotta clean as you go. Helps to enforce outside shoe removal at the entryway and to sweep and vacuum the garage floor occasionally. I will say, having kids now and being in charge of cleaning for a decade and a half, I really get anakin’s hatred of sand

Do this but for washing dishes instead, as someone who hand washes dishes because I don’t believe in dishwashers that is my biggest Sisiphyan task

What do you mean... you don't believe in dishwashers...?

Machines of legend, said to have existed before The Collapse, but archeologists have yet to physical evidence, just old tales called "user manuals" passed down from generation to generation.

Dishwashers use less water than you will doing the same task. They may not be perfect for every dish, but washing by hand when there is a functional dishwasher is justing pissing away time, effort, and a lot of water.

I don't think any amount of water common people can save makes a dent to the water used by giant corporations in the slightest, so that's not something I pay much attention to. As for time and energy yeah it kind sucks but at least all my stuff is clean and ready for use within like 30 mins, where as the dishwasher takes more than an hour and the stuff comes out still not clean enough to use

When you were studying as a school boy I wad doing laundry, when you graduated high school I had long since graduated laundry. When you were in college I already had a doctorate in laundry. Now your linens are soiled, the red is ruining your whites, and you have the audacity to ask me for help, with your laundry
