We were promised a frictionless, intelligent future. Instead we’re building gas plants so a chatbot can confidently invent court cases and recommend glue on pizza. Apparently the cloud was just a smokestack with better branding. Big Tech gets the profits, everyone else gets the asthma.

They could have at least used this AI hell as an opportunity to roll out tons of new solar. Which would have actually been more cost effective. But a small handful of oil industry assholes need to get their last cut from the techbro dbags while humanity collapses.

We are morally obligated to stop data centers and not use LLMs whenever possible. My field of work is continuing to pivot towards AI and I know I‘m not going to sit on my ass and prompt shit for a living. I‘d rather do anything else with my time.

In truth, there was never any doubt pollution would continue to increase. 0.

There was never any hope we would arrest climate change, even if we tried, which there was never any doubt we would not do that in any real way.

This is wonderful news for all the oligarchs! They see a headline like this and are likely cheering and sharing champagne.

Well, when the common american think that a solar panel could suck all the sun I don't see any possible solution.

  • Amazing how much damage is being caused and how much money is being dumped into this so we can fire people and generate shitty articles for social media and help scammers rob people.

Surely that is Demented’s end game? Locking the US into fossil fuels is his stated goal which no doubt will be extremely painful for the USA.

It will lock the US into permanent, irrevocable decline. Up to now it's technically been a nose-dive that could have been pulled out of.

This will absolutely seal the deal, permanently. From the massively increased costs of everything, to the future political (and financial) costs of being the last massive polluter left when everyone else pivots to cheaper renewables less dependent on oil cartels and proxy wars.

Electricity is woke unless it's generated by fossil fuel.

Data centers are deleting the progress we’ve made.

So that's the reason they want more data centers... Now it makd sense

What's this? An overabundance of fossil fuel use across the country?? This massive buildout of gas power plants oughta put a stop to that!

"Depends Brand Diapers" If they are good enough for Agent Krasnov, they're good enough for your shitty lungs. Wear 'em like a mask to shoot Mexicans for a profit or wear em so you don't die from smog! Depends. Do you like choices? It depends!"

And as we all know… not a fucking thing is going to be done about it. So unless citizens are willing to take matter into their own hands, I’d suggest we all just shut up about it.
