AI with a root shell is dangerous in the same way that a chimpanzee with a loaded AK47 is dangerous. It is a situation which can only arise from deliberate negligence. It is a very different from chimpanzees having the productive capacity to manufacture their own AK47s and waging a protracted gorilla war from the jungle.

Have you tried Ed Zitron videos? He's really engaging, knows his stuff, and makes a point to describe something as "looking like a dog's ass after thanksgiving" at least once a week.
i would rather reframe the danger frankly
because it actually is like alarmingly dangerous
just not as some embarrassing skynet concept
redirecting fear and anxiety is easier than being a wet blanket anyway, and if people want to freak out about the danger, the scientific fact that this tech rots our brain is a perfect concept node to redirect that kind of fear monger-marketing towards
