A friend just sent me a fucking kursgesagt video about AI scary and they don't believe me that it's just AI marketing courtesy of Bill gates

AI with a root shell is dangerous in the same way that a chimpanzee with a loaded AK47 is dangerous. It is a situation which can only arise from deliberate negligence. It is a very different from chimpanzees having the productive capacity to manufacture their own AK47s and waging a protracted gorilla war from the jungle.
