I keep seeing foreign EVs that are affordable, and don't use gas. No wonder we can't have them in America.

  • Ah, Jim Farley is hailing China again.

In June 2025, Farley said, "It’s the most humbling thing I’ve ever seen" after he came back from a China trip visiting EV firms.

In October 2025, Farley said he and other executives came back "terrified" after a China trip visiting EV firms.

You can read in here and here. All three reports are praising China, but are poor on content (and it's basically the same content). Oh, and yes, alll three were posted by OP, but you'll easily find more of this Farley-stuff here and across the web.

Why would anyone fend off your competitor, you greedy fuck? Who cares what these fucks think or want.

It is too late. Canada and Mexico are moving forward. It will be hard for the US to ignore.

My car was 19k in 2021, the same model is now 30k. Nothing changed in the car, the manufacturer has had increasing profit margins and it isn’t even an US manufacturer.

Not really. Canada is only letting in 50,000 EVs and most of them are Chinese Teslas. Carney says things, then does other things.

We have Ford, GM, Toyota and Honda plants in Ontario. We make one shitty EV at Stellantis that sold 720 worldwide in 2025.

If you can't make a product appealing enough for the consumer to choose over your competitors without government intervention locking your competitors out of the market, then maybe you shouldn't exist as a company any more
