Did you notice how the "Great Recession" was very latterly coined and still is generally not used/analyzed in a serious way? How economic contraction during covid was never characterized as recession or depression despite being a dictionary definition of such? The only framing allowed in public discourse is how it harmed the profitability of firms; the heaps of dead, indebted, disabled, and imiserrated proles are silent.
