i stopped smoking about 8 years ago and though my partner was the biggest driver of me doing that, it doesn't come without some regrets on her part.. it turns out I have the nose of a bloodhound and I can't help but complain about bad smells.

My sense of smell has never been great so i guess I've got less to lose. Thanks for the inspiration to try smoking
There was a point where that happened to me as well and it was a big motivator to keep not smoking even longer.
Not only my clothes but small other things too, my pillow didn't smell like an ashtray because i didn't smell like an ashtray. I quit getting random whiffs of cigarette smoke throughout the day because it wasn't emanating from me. I cut back on cologne usage because I wasn't covering up the chimney smell.
Not smoking is great. I'm really proud of you for whatever it's worth.
