Baldur's gate 3, and just got addicted to vampire survivors yesterday

Oh boy VS is wild, I’m close to getting all the collectibles and unlocks, it’s such a brutally addictive game! 30 minute chunks of epilepsy inducing chaos!
How far along are you in Baldur's Gate 3? Wondering how many hours average person have in the game.
Also, in our weekly "What are you playing" thread, we don't care about the platform, I regularly mention Switch games, Cosmic (the lead mod) mentions what he is playing on Switch Deck etc. So, you are welcome to jump in every week and share what you are playing.
Oh, I see. I'm about 20 hours in, still on my first playthrough. I bought it about a month ago.
I started Control the other day. All I knew going in was that it is kinda inspired by SCP and really good, and I have been blown away at the atmosphere of the game.
I debated starting Control before Spider-Man 2 but I'm starting to get spoiled on the Spider-Man 2 story, so I decided to start that. Will probably do Control after.
Playing more of Forbidden West. Starting to get really fun (and frustrating) fighting bigger machines.
I've also been meaning to get that power wash simulator. Lucky me.
@AgentGrimstone @CosmicSploogeDrizzle hope you end up enjoying it. It’s not everyone’s favorite. The visuals however, are beautiful to look at.
Power Wash Simulator? I wasn't expecting much from its visuals but I did see a glimpse of an FF7 stage which looked neat.
I thought that FF7 stage was a DLC.
Okay, just looked it up. Migdar (FF7) and Tomb Raider DLC are free. Back to Future and Spongebob Squarepants DLCs are paid.
I have several that I want to start. But I generally don't have multiple hours to play. So I've started up Cuphead for the first time this week. It's simultaneously really hard and not nearly as hard as I was expecting.
I'm also trying out Remote Play on my PS5 with Monster Menu: Scavenger's Cookbook and it's okay. I might try it with World of Final Fantasy since it's only really viable with turn based games.
It’s simultaneously really hard and not nearly as hard as I was expecting.
That's how I feel about soul-like games.
As for Remote Play, how are you playing it? With PS Portal or on your phone / laptop? People have been playing Spider-man 2 and God of War with Portal without any issue, so I am guessing it has something to do with your local setup, maybe you can try to improve it.
I've been playing on my phone. I tried briefly with Cuphead (probably the worst game I could try) and the very minimal lag made it virtually unplayable. I probably could play GoW, but the little bit of lag would still bother me. I might try it though.
There's also an issue of randomly slow connection speeds, which is another reason I need to be a bit selective. But I'll have to play more to see if that's something that's going to always be an issue.
Remote Play has some general issues with lag and stuttering that are not network issues. Since Sony released the Portal I'm hoping they will begin ironing out these in software. That being said, games that require pinpoint precision are always going to suffer with remote play because there will always be some amount of latency. It's just physics.
That being said, the lag doesn't really bother me with GoW. You might feel it if you play on higher difficulties though. GoW does suffer from stutters though, but it's a remote play issue, not a network issue
I've read that due to the nature of the connection, the little bit of lag is just unavoidable.
I just beat Spider-Man 2 on Sunday and now I have started up Star Ocean: The Second Story R. I really enjoy the simplistic vibe the game has captured and its whole ambience is just fun. I am in love with it. Other than that, I am playing Cult of the Lamb when I want something different. Enjoying this title as well.
I just started Guardians of the Galaxy. After hearing that the Avengers game was trash, I'm pleasantly surprised by how fun this is so far. It's like Mass Effect and God of War had a baby and made the lore less overwhelming.
