I know nothing about him other than he makes some of the worst music humans have ever produced. But yeah fuck him!
post
Extremely common Ms Rachel W.
Ed Sellout

I love that she's calling him out like this, because it exposes just how spineless Ed Sheeran is. If Ms Rachel can condemn genocide anyone can.
All it takes is a little bit of character.
Ed's demonstrated that money matters more to him than people's lives. He doesn't want to pick a side but he has, the side of money, or so he thinks... But being despised in the music industry relegates you to the grifter circuit.
Hey, yeah, but there's a lot of money in the grifter game right now
Yeah the thing is that other artists who do give a shit will stop working with him, because the music scene itself is social and a lot of them don't want to be disliked by other artists. You end up with it splitting into the grift circuit and the real cultural circuit.
Ed's smart, he's going for that anti-anti-Zionist market (CW:suicide)
Edit: This is directed at Ed, not you, I just realized it may have come across that way. Sorry if it did
The current state of the culture wars are Ms. Rachel and Macklemore vs Ed Sheeran and Pink.
This is an actual timeline we live in
I haven't heard anything about Pink in regards to it, what's the story there?
The only one I'm surprised by is macklemore
Really? I thought he pretty consistently was on the right side of things. But I don't really pay attention.
He has been, not just on Palestine. But a lot of people just know him as “The Thrift Shop guy”
The Heist is a killer album, that song aside, I haven't listen to too much of his more recent stuff, the Hind's Hall and Hind's Hall 2 get played quite often. I'm waiting for him to team up with Lowkey for a song given Palestine is pretty important to him too.
I always knew I hated Ed Sheeran's music for a good reason
I've hated him since I found out he was a landlord. Now I have another reason to despise the guy.
And I had no idea who Ed Sheeran was until this post, and I hate him, too.
That’s quite surprising, Shape of You was damn near inescapable in 2017
Somehow I managed to evade "Shape of You" in 2017 only to discover an Ethiopian instrumental folk-pop cover of it many years later, which I have always found to be the superior version.

Love seeing those iconic blue and white Lada taxis in the background.
Damn, could we make a car back in the day. I didn't say we could make a good car, but we sure made a lot of them that last a very long time which is definitely worth something.
Also, the fact that Renault returned it's stake in Lada to the Russian state government for a single ruble in 2022. Talk about an unforced error, sanctions really are a form of self-own.
I just gave that a listen, and yep, never heard it in my neck of the woods.
And I always knew I’d have a reason to hate Ed Sheeran for more than just his music.
Speaking out AGAINST Genocide is ANTI SEMETIC!
-Robert Kraft who apparently thinks Hitler was Right!
Did Ed Sheeran actually have any say in this? The thing I read said “the stakeholders” made this decision.
That being said, I’m not a fan of Sheeran’s silence.
Purely in the realm of "UWU it's not my fault! I'm just a soft centrist boy but I'm beholden to my stakeholders who constantly force me to do the thing I wanted to do."
Sheeran is one of the wealthiest and most popular musicians in the world. He has the leverage to say “I’m not performing without him, eat dicks,” and he might have his shows cancelled but he’d be fine.
And more than likely that wouldn’t happen anyway. Those venues wouldn’t want to refund hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of tickets. He’s a big enough name and financially secure enough that the venues need him more than he needs them.
I mean he can refuse to perform unless they also let Macklemore perform too, the fuck are they gonna do hold him at gunpoint on stage?
Yeah, he's free to work with who he wants to, he chose money instead of murdered people
