My mom only has 1 arm so the possibility of her having an Apple Watch always seemed unrealistic. However with the pinch commands etc., can I give my mom an Apple Watch for Christmas and could she use it entirely with 1 arm? Realistically she could sometimes tap things with her nose, but I would love for her to be able to have a primary way to use/navigate the watch without that

I haven’t used single arm to its fullest extent but have a great deal of success with using Siri voice commands to open apps and using the double tap to cycle through menus and start functions

I'll say it again, Apple could make this device so much easier to use one-handed if they just borrowed a little bit from the old Android Wear gestures that always worked so well for me (even on their comparatively junk hardware)... Flick the watch away/towards you with wrist twists to scroll up/down and highlight things, we could now use double-tap to select, and something like lift and lower forearm quickly to go back.

As it is currently though, assistive touch just isn't great to use. You could always buy and try and return if it doesn't work out.
