in season 7 they fought a "japenese "ring ghost"ghost"

The first 5 seasons I thought were pretty good. Campy? Absolutely. But it was cohesive and entertaining, with well established characters and interesting plot arcs. Plus at the time it was one if the only big fantasy shows on air.

because of the fanbase, they made it all overly sexual after season 5, especially with the main characthers. the new writers played into that for the next 10 seasons unfortunately. its not like kripkes , he only did season 1 -5. season 6-15, was all andrew dabbs and the other guy. the fanbase were very cringey. apparently thats what kept the show on the air.

theres quite alot of drama , season 6, the fans threatened the woman actor, and the son(actor) so she wouldnt come back from the show, because they were breaking thier homoerotic fantasy between castiel(misha collins) and DEAN(Jensen ackles), and maybe jared as well.

it was the only show with monster, magic, angels/demons all in one go, eventhough monsters(were easily killed vampires, ghouls,,,etc and apparently pagan gods). 1-5, 8,11 were the most eterntaining, the rest were all filler seasons.
