Most of the time when I swipe it down to turn the volume off, it automatically bumps it back up to that little bit. I don’t know why it does this and I don’t know why this bothers me as much as it does. 😅

Have you tried using the physical buttons? Just to see?

theyve added this in ios 17. if you pull it down slowly it wont come back. but if you do it fast it will. one who came up with this idea should have all of the sliders and knobs he encounters do the same fucking thing for him.

Doesn't happen to me on ios17

Must maybe only be a thing on iPhone 15? I installed iOS 17 a couple days ago on my 13 mini and I can mute my phone no matter how fast or slow I go.

Mine doesn’t have this issue, iPhone 13 Pro iOS 17.0.0

it's because the phone thinks that it's still in a call, close the app that you used for a call or reboot and it should be back to normal

https://imgur.com/a/bQAXOMR this is happening to me too, I was definitely not in a call, also never happened until iOS 17

The new update has so many fun little quirks

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

I can confirm it does this even if you're not using any apps

In the top of your screen you can see that Blink is using your microphone. Probably a bug in the app telling your phone you’re in a call. Close the app and be good to go

I get this same issue, I have to lower the slider slowly or else it jumps up again. Sometimes it takes a few tries.

Shut down your mouth phone, and then reopen it. That should help.

I have an 12 and the newest update does the same for me. If I swipe down fast it’ll pop back up. When I’m deliberate and swipe slow it’ll stay off!

Is because if you go lower sound in the universe will disappear 🫠

This happened to me and was a hilarious bug. I can still remember my boss raging during a business call cause his phone didnt completely turn off the video he was playing lmaoo

Happens sometimes after I use discord and don’t swipe close the app (or any other non-Apple app that uses the microphone).

It’s a glitch in iOS 17. Drag the volume down slower. If it bounces back, drag it down again - takes up to three times for me. It will be fixed eventually.
