I guess I don't care. Like it's mostly for AAA games which I don't play and for Nvidia cards which I don't own. And even if I could use it, it's totally optional. Since it apparently sucks, I don't think many people will use it.

i mean, we don't know what the training was like for this version. if it was trained on a limited subset of people (like NBA players for NBA 2k) that could easily explain why. In future games that want to support this, they could train it specifically on the actor/models they used.
I guess they felt videogames didn't look quite enough like soap operas or instagram "models".

She's supposed to be 35 in the game. The videos in the article didn't make her look older than 40. The article is hyperbole.
Also that Skyrim character look bad regardless of DLSS on or off is not a surprise. Fans probably call it a feature. Just shows the tech isn't magic.
