I've always loved Common and this is a particularly strong J Dilla beat. The piano runs throughout the track make this one of my favorite instrumentals ever. It takes a fairly repetitive, albeit emotionally complex sample flip, and keeps it dynamic enough to run for nearly 6 minutes.

J Dilla's reputation as one of the greatest to ever do it was very well earned. For a long time I was more of a Nujabes person as far as this genre of beat goes, but the more I've listened to Dilla recently the more I've appreciated just how broad his choice of sounds is, especially for the time he was creating
