Have an Apple TV 4K (current gen Ethernet model) connected to a Samsung QN90B which is in turn connected to home theatre AV via HDMI ARC. When I enable Atmos via the TV menu, there is a lag in the sound of ~1 second which is unbearable. I thought it was the AV at first but even if I direct the sound out of the TV speakers the same lag persists. If I use the TV’s built-in apps there is no lag. If I disable Atmos there is no lag. Anyone know how to get rid of this lag so that I can enjoy Atmos via the Apple TV?

Are you connected by ARC or eARC?

You can try adjusting the Digital Output Delay settings.

The amp can do eARC, but when I enable it there is no sound from any of the TVs built-in apps. It’s really frustrating.

I had the same problem but I figured out I had to change the setting on my TV and it worked spot on ever since.

Which setting did you change?
