Them crashing into the wall and having stretchers being pulled out for them is really funny.

This tech will eventually be weaponized
I feel like the human shaped stuff won’t be what the terrifying stuff will look like. Too expensive when something smaller will do the trick. But sci-fi has conditioned us to think of robots being human shaped
yep the real scary shit is the little micro flying assassin drones. Shit that could be deployed at scale to eliminate targets way more effectively than anything humanoid ever could.
But sci-fi has conditioned us to think of robots being human shaped
I'm still surprised that they haven't made monkey robots, which would just be human robots except you also have a tail that can function as an additional limb. Stick a camera at the end of the tail and the robot now has 360 degree vision of its surroundings.
What upsides does a humanoid killer robot have over, for example a drone killer robot? The latter already exists, can move greater distances at higher speeds, has an extra axis of movement, can get up when it falls over etc etc
Terrain becomes an asset rather than an obstacle, accessibility as a persistent shock assault and breacher unit, can deliver heavier payloads without having to sacrifice itself in single or tandem strikes, can hold territory, not simply pound it from the air
A camouflaged humanoid robot with a heavy grenade launcher mindlessly walking far behind enemy lines can do more damage than ten microdrones
Flirting vs harassment meme when it comes to this stuff on here
People here have issues with LLMs specifically not Machine Learning in general
I don't think anyone here as a problem with OCR etc, the issue is generative text models and their effect on the job market and people taking their output as gospel
The robot from the OP uses Deep Reinforcement Learning its not an LLM strapped onto a bipedial robot
thing, thing japan china
Bet my car can beat this robot at the 100m too
literally like why would I care a machine can go faster than a human? We know that already
The next thing you see when you break the law is a kamikaze robot running at you faster than Usain Bolt.
Way too expensive. Why use a 50k robot when that 50k can get more reliable drones and multiple targets.
Only a few years til we see a full robot Olympics, complete with archery and shooting.
Put wheels on him and make him trans
This is huge. With brain controlling mech legs noone will need whellchairs anymore
it links to a video about "the one question socialism cannot answer" should i leave it here or in slop?
