That dumb fuckin bitch is the reason Trump was able to steal the first presidency.

This followed the creation of gerrymandered congressional maps by Florida Republicans that broke Wasserman Schultz’s current seat into five shards. She decided against running in the 22nd district, where she lives, and chose instead to compete in the deep blue 20th, which has been represented by Black Democrats for more than 30 years.

So basically, she picked the most blue district presumably because of better future-election job security. And there's something so poetic about the fact that she did what she thought was the safest long-term choice, while completely ignoring that that will probably set her up for failure in the short-term. Because the most blue district would demand the most blue candidate, which she is most certainly never going to be.

The primary isn't decided but I genuinely hope someone so eager to live by ineffectual democratic establishment thinking can also die by it.

Man, I don't really follow Florida's primaries and I'm pretty progressive... But dang I hope she loses and that loss is massive. Lady is an insult to progressive politics. Besides she's made a massive pile off of stock trading, so getting her out is one more gone.

Title is kinda like, "water is wet" but I do like that they're starting to put famously dogshit establishment shills on the chopping block.

I'd back a 3-week old ham sandwich over DWS.

Wow. She is still an insider? I guess that makes me lose a bit of faith that the democratic party vibrates cleanly. Ignore your dissonance with each other until after trump is unseated then you can quibble about "party philosophy" down the road a bit.

If we do not shake the establishment to its core, nothing will actually change. How many times have Democrats held power and refused to act boldly?

I'm done. I will continue to vote for fresh ideas and people who act with integrity and transparency.

Because of the senate setup, very rarely have they controlled all 3 let alone with enough to be filibuster proof

You aren't wrong, but not putting something on the table because it won't pass is weak IMO. It's saying that it's not worth mentioning because it can't pass on this moment, which is essentially saying we didn't want to rock the boat.

Dems have become the party of compliance. They are too afraid of losing votes they don't even have.

No its not worth losing over and over because then it does look like a witch hunt if it's failing constantly

It's better to take the house and senate and then impeach.

Remember he was impeached twice already and nothing happened because they didn't have the votes

They can end the filibuster at anytime. That’s a bullshit cop out.

Sure, and when Republicans win again like they have for the last decade what happens when they have absolutely zero power then?

Then Dems try and actually win elections and doing real thing when Dems do win. It’s convenient they never can actually do anything when they do get into power except help corporations and wealthy

They do a of of good things but its much easier to break than fix, especially if you don't care about breaking laws like the current admin.

But please continue your both sides bullshit

There was no both sides there. Only a well thought out condemnation of establishment Democrats who are too weak and way too enriched.

And test they do good things occasionally. They act as a barrier to some of the worst things the others try to do. But they don't break shit.

You said it, it's a lot easier to break than to fix. And if we get over trying to fix everything and start building in the ruins instead of trying to put Humpty back together, we just might achieve modern progress. Stop thinking that everything must be a certain way, start asking what it could be.

They are already planning to keep Schumer as Israel's prime representative in the Senate, and Wasserman Schultz as their representative in the House.

Let's throw a monkey wrench into their plans, and get rid of both of them. Make Israel find new contacts, now that being associated with Israel is a Democratic career-killer.

This is my district (well it is now) and I voted to Elijah and got as many people as I could to do the same.

If she manages to pull this off, I will not vote for her in November.
