Sounds like contempt of court to me.
If you wont be punished for breaking the law, are there really laws?
Even if Donnie ends up never being punished, I sure hope the Democrats don't puss the fuck out on using every tool in the legal arsenal to get every single asshole responsible for shit like this and give them maximum sentences.
Believing the democrats will do that is like believing the Avengers will come save you
Don't worry, they will. Its Schumer and Bookers dream to piss and shit the bed so everything can "return to normal".
If I did this, I would be held in contempt and thrown behind bars.
Ah but you're not rich, you see
The next President should expunge trump from all associations with the presidency. All of his appointments should be recalled and everything he's done should be rolled back. That includes the SCOTUS (especially the SCOTUS) and all thier subsequent "decisions." A line must be drawn to inform the next demigouge that their fuckery will NOT be tolerated.
Wipe out the last 40 years of heritage foundation rot, or we may as well kiss this shitty country good bye
Oh no not the shitty country that attacks me and my people daily!
Whoa, hey now, watch your tone when you talk about the country that elected an ancient felonious pedophile to its highest office not once, but two times, because he didn't get enough crimes done the first time.
Part of the tragedy of the MAGA era is that much of what he's done cannot be undone, including America's place in the world order. America will never be the same and will either rise to a fascist dictatorship or fall from its place as the world last superpower.
This is part of their strategy, because if a Democrat did win, the expectation is that they would, at best, follow typical procedure and it would take years and they would have people delay and maybe even turn it into a wedge in a subsequent election.
trump will not leave office without knowing what it is like to press the red button though. Doesn't seem like there will be a next attempt at anything.
This is absolutely true. But it's also probably a permanent degradation of our government.
It's like Mexico. When corruption becomes endemic in the government, because (like Trump) you've fired the neutral government career folks and replaced them with political loyalists who don't care about actually administering the law, then the next election they get replaced, but because they're now "in play," they never again survive administration changes.
So there's a purge every change of administration. And because at least one side is corrupt, don't be surprised if during the lead-up to the next administration changeover (assuming we can get that far), Trump's lackeys destroy records across every institution they control, alongside blanket pardons, just to destroy any chance that the incoming administration can function and transition seamlessly.
The result is no more administrative continuity, chaos and a downward spiral of eroding trust in government.
Defacing a historical monument just to be remembered as the biggest failure and embarrassment in American history but it's a good way to remind future generations to not make the same mistakes.
I'm so tired of the people accommodating this goddamned washed-up snowflake.
We already have the East Wing of the White House to remember him by. We don't need any more... like the reflecting pool... and all the other crap. heh
I’m banking on zero accountability.
Holy shit. He wasn't allowed to change it's name so he's doing to have his lackeys carve his name into the the side of the building instead.
Nothing happening in the US is sane. This person should have been removed from power by the other branches of government a long time ago. The government is nonfunctional to the point I'm very honestly worried that the Democrats sweeping the midterms won't make any difference.
Democrats sweeping the midterms is the final check and then it’s all over for the US or we still have a snow ball’s chance in hell.
I think a lot of people still believe that of the Democrats sweep the midterms it will make things better quickly.
I see that as the only good path, but think it would cause him to become even more unstable and try to claim enough Democrats are no longer citizens based on his last legal executive order to create an R majority... and don't see many Republicans complaining about it.
If Democrats take all of the senate seats that are up for election, they'll be able to get the two thirds majority needed to convict him in the senate after impeachment. The odds of that happening are somewhere between slim and none.
Otherwise, unless some of the Republican senators cross the aisle, you're stuck with President Trump for the next couple of years assuming he survives.
If you read today's news in 1978 you would not believe one word of it - we have very definitely lost the US govt as we knew it. I'd also say the public in general is also less intelligent and increasingly misinformed.
carving into it only means he'll have to pay more to fix the marble when the time comes
Means the taxpayer will have to pay more.
carving into it only means ~~h~~we’ll have to pay more to fix the marble when the time comes
Correct a small mistake
Sure. That’s definitely how this ends.
Then the marble facade will be removed.
Ok fine. Fuck the Kennedy Center for ever and ever.
I'm sure Trump would be just fine tearing down the whole building out of spite. He tore up half the Whitehouse and he lives there!
Wouldn't it have been funny if the demolition team didn't know where to stop and took the whole thing down
There must be at least one example where trump accepted no for an answer (but I can't think of any).
"bubba, my jaw is sore, can we take a break?"
"no"
"ok"
Asking Putin for permission to send Patriot missiles to Ukraine?
God, when is this fat sack of shit going to die and just go away? I've started searching his name every day just looking for an obituary news article. How someone can be so far in mental decline, and people are still lining up to lick his ball sack is beyond me.
Fascism isn't going away when he dies. Americans are getting a more competent and evil replacement.
