Nah shoe shopping online is worthless because shoe companies are shit with sizing and I have to go in person so I can try shoes on (I have huge feet)

They could get a taste for it by watching Married with Children.
Walmart has shit shoes in the store, of course, but I shop for shoes on their site, because if the size is wrong I can return them at the store, and they are very close to me.
It's surprising that shoe sizes aren't more standardized, I mean the narrow to wide sizing. Some of them I can wear normal and some of them I need extra-wide. That's how far off it is.
Fuckin' Brannock Devices--how do they work?
Here's a recent episode from the "99 percent invisible" design podcast about the Brannock device, its inventor, and the current state of the company. https://99percentinvisible.org/episode/100-objects-011-brannock-device/
Tradehome still will give you the full old school shoe store experience. They're also the only place that consistently stocks above a mens 13
Omg I gave up shoe shopping in stores a long time ago. I wear size 15. I'd walk in and ask if they stock any shoes in that size and no one could answer. I'd waste 40 min scanning through the racks to inevitably come up empty handed.
It got so bad one summer I was straight up shoeless, had to fashion sandals out of an old tire.
