I checked it out but it's still very buggy. And I couldn't figure out how to disable first-party cookies. And also they proclaim that basically they don't bother with fingerprinting resistance because it's impossible to block , which is simply untrue.

Where on that page do they claim that?

I am a dev (unrelated to this) and I do think it is impossible, on what grounds do you think it isn't?

They say it here, but I disagree. Fingerprinting is difficult to prevent but not impossible. Same thing as with malware: You'll never be 100% protected from malware, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take precautions against it, does it?

Here's one way of testing how unique your fingerprint is.

Firefox and Chromium have had private browsing for ages and both are open source

Yes, but competition is good for innovation. They learn things we can all learn from, and the other browsers are harder to contribute to.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
