"The US is going to run out of bullets next Tuesday"-ass headlines, except they're probably true because we don't manufacture shit here except consent
post
or they could just be lying because they want another pause to ease the markets and hope that Iran is caught off guard when they do another "surprise" attack.
Is the US military really that much of a paper tiger nowadays? What the fuck are they spending all that money on if not THE power projection mechanism of the 21st century.
What the fuck are they spending all that money on
Missile defense systems, command and control centers, experimental aircraft.
Or at least, if you go to the news or investor relations pages for any of the big defense contractors, those are the sorts of projects they're bragging about / selling.
None of them even work though
Yes but have you considered the profit defense contractors made creating those Wunderwaffen. Who cares if they're practically useless.
A lot of them do work. The F-35 is the most capable non-chinese military jet ever. US air defences are the most comprehensive and avanced ever outside of China. The aircraft carriers allow them to project power almost anywhere on the planet. But that's all incredibly costly to build, maintain, and replace. The degraded industrial base means it doesn't matter how good the wunderwaffe is; they can't make enough to matter.
When the drone pilot in front of you falls, pick up their Logitech controller.
it would mean we still have like over 2K of these things lying around which is a ton plus we have a bunch of non-tomahawk missiles and other ordinance we can use from planes so this, unfortunately, wont be the end of the great satan just yet
